More About Kira (she/her)

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist and a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I have a Master’s degree in counselling psychology and a Bachelor's degree specializing in Psychology and Criminology.

 

I'm an avid lifelong learner and love connecting with people, regardless of what emotions or challenges they bring with them! With experience in a variety of mental health environments, I have extensive knowledge working with a wide range of concerns. Some of these include anxiety, depression, self-esteem and self-worth struggles, anger management, grief, trauma, attachment, relationships issues, big life changes, loneliness, and struggles with self-identity.

I know that beginning or re-engaging in therapy can be tough. I recognize it takes strength, resilience, and lots of vulnerability. I take a warm and supportive approach, with evidence-based interventions and individually tailored treatment. This includes using a culturally-sensitive and trauma-informed framework to respect everyone's unique identity, beliefs, desires, and life experiences. I have a passion for being with my clients throughout their journey with the common goal to improve their well-being.
